The app

Filixir reads the files you open and writes the copies you save. It never uploads them anywhere. It has no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no telemetry.

Filixir uses the internet only when you choose to install an optional add-on: the documents add-on comes from The Document Foundation (download.documentfoundation.org and its mirrors) and the media add-on from NuGet, Microsoft's package gallery (nuget.org). Those sites see an ordinary download request. Flash files play with all internet access blocked.

Your settings, a list of the last 8 files you opened, converted copies it reuses and, if you entered one, your Filixir Pro key are kept in Filixir's own folder on your PC. A Pro key is checked on your PC; the app doesn't contact anyone to check it.

Buying Filixir Pro on filixir.app

• Payment is handled by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
• What we keep: your name and email address as given at checkout, the payment reference, the date, and the key made for you. This is your Filixir account: it lets you get your key again at filixir.app/account and lets us confirm a key is genuine.
• Email: your key and sign-in links are sent through Resend. A copy of each key email comes to us so we can help if it goes astray.
• We keep these records for as long as your key may be used, and we don't sell or share them for marketing. To have them deleted, email us; a deleted key can't be recovered later.

The Microsoft Store edition

If you get Filixir or Filixir Pro from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the purchase under its own privacy statement.
