Open .pmd, .p65 and .pm6 files on Windows 10 and 11

PageMaker document files come from Aldus and Adobe PageMaker (1985 to 2004). Filixir opens them without the original program. Page layouts saved as PDF.

How to open one

  1. Download Filixir. It's free for Windows 10 and 11 and installs without an administrator password.
  2. Double-click your .pmd file, or right-click it and choose Open with › Filixir. You can also drag it onto Filixir.
  3. The first time, Filixir offers to download its free documents add-on (the LibreOffice engine) from its makers. It takes a minute and only happens once.
  4. Look through it in Filixir, then save it in the format you want. Your original file is never changed.
