Open .cwk files on Windows 10 and 11

ClarisWorks and AppleWorks files come from ClarisWorks and AppleWorks (1991 to 2007). Filixir opens them without the original program. Documents, drawings and spreadsheets from old Macs.

How to open one

  1. Download Filixir. It's free for Windows 10 and 11 and installs without an administrator password.
  2. Double-click your .cwk file, or right-click it and choose Open with › Filixir. You can also drag it onto Filixir.
  3. The first time, Filixir offers to download its free documents add-on (the LibreOffice engine) from its makers. It takes a minute and only happens once.
  4. Look through it in Filixir, then save it in the format you want. Your original file is never changed.
