FilixirOpen .wps files on Windows 10 and 11
Works document files come from Microsoft Works word processor (1988 to 2009). Filixir opens them without the original program. Read and save as Word or PDF.
How to open one
- Download Filixir. It's free for Windows 10 and 11 and installs without an administrator password.
- Double-click your .wps file, or right-click it and choose Open with › Filixir. You can also drag it onto Filixir.
- The first time, Filixir offers to download its free documents add-on (the LibreOffice engine) from its makers. It takes a minute and only happens once.
- Look through it in Filixir, then save it in the format you want. Your original file is never changed.
